Tenmile
Lakes is
one of Oregon's largest and most popular recreation lakes.
Fishing is superb year round with species including large
mouth bass, trout, crappie, bluegill, and catfish.
Tenmile Creek feeds into the ocean which provides great
steelhead runs in the spring and fall.
The lake is also a favorite for water sports with plenty of
large open areas for water skiing, sailing, swimming and more.
The location between Coos Bay/North Bend and Winchester
Bay in the Oregon Dunes provides easy access to some of the
largest dunes on the Oregon
Coast. Deep sea ocean fishing,
clamming and crabbing are only minutes away.
Lakeside,
on the shores of Tenmile Lakes, is a pleasant
community offering a charming shopping area and basic
services. The natural surroundings are the perfect
backdrop for celebration and Lakeside is known for its spectacular
4th of July, Drag Boat Races, and the new Steamboaters
gathering. For even more fun and excitement, NorthBend/Coos
Bay is just 10 miles south and offers plenty of nightlife and the
Mills Casino Indian Gaming facility. If you're looking for
an Oregon Coast vacation destination that offers a little of
everything, look no further than Lakeside and Tenmile Lakes!
